Days of Our Sims Part 11

Lukas got a promotion and finally got a new work uniform!

Makenzie approved.

The next day found everyone with the day off! Lukas enjoyed some trampoline time:

Jeff worked on upgrading the jets in the hot tub:

SimMe and Makenzie opted for naps:

All while some random old guy stared at SimMe:

Seriously, what's with the creepy old people?!

Lukas received an emergency call to work that night and we got to see what his promotion consists of: actual ghosts! Lukas has a ghost scanner now that he uses to scan areas of the house for ghosts:

When the scanner detects a ghost, the room gets very cold and the ghost materializes:

Ghosts are color coded depending on how they died. This one is blue and dripping, which means he drowned. Lukas moved in. He spoke to the ghost about how the ghost had had a full life and assured him of his friends' and family's wellbeing:

Things went a bit south when Lukas suggested the ghost move on:

Well...since being nice failed...

Banshee Banisher time!

Lukas quickly found the second ghost:

I don't know what white ghosts mean. Blue means drowning and red means fire. That's all I know. Lukas tried the same tactic with this ghost:

With similar results:

The client was particularly unsettled:

Eventually Lukas was able to convince this ghost to move on peacefully. He was on his way back to the car when the game suddenly decided it was the perfect time for Lukas' birthday! He was so excited!

And celebrated accordingly:

Oh no! The Birthday Sparkles!

Luckily, the change from Young Adult to Adult is rather uneventful and Lukas emerged looking exactly the same:

We headed off to the next house which was a plain old spirit hunt:

Boring. Lukas tried to spice it up by sneaking up on one of them:

The client, again, was quite distressed over the whole ordeal:

We returned home and went to bed. The next morning Lukas went looking for Makenzie and found her in the hot tub, enjoying the view:

The two of them relaxed together. Parenting is hard, you know.

Then, for no apparent reason, Lukas gave Makenzie this look. I don't know what he was so suspicious about but it cracked me up!

He quickly got over his paranoia:

It was birthday central in the Brinkley family! Evan aged up from useless slug baby into an adorable toddler!

He promptly got a makeover by me and a birthday hug from Mommy:

And some birthday tickles:

And a birthday toss in the air:

Not to be outdone, Makenzie had her own birthday in the kitchen (she was about to eat her dinner - a giant cookie!):

She wasn't nearly as excited as Lukas:

But at least someone attended her birthday, unlike Lukas and Evan:

While Makenzie was being attacked by Birthday Sparkles, Evan was displaying his love/hate relationship with his bear. He'd hug the bear:

Break Bear's neck:

Chew on Bear's ear:

Slam Bear into the ground by holding on his head:

Beat on Bear's chest:

Break Bear's spine:

And then love on Bear some more:

Lukas and Makenzie headed off to work and SimMe headed off to bed, which left Grampa Jeff in charge of Evan. Jeff played video games and Evan supervised:

It was all going well until the TV broke. Um...Jeff...shouldn't Evan be a safe distance away if you insist on repairing the TV WHILE IT'S ON?! (Shouldn't you also turn the TV off and unplug it first before you go at it with that screwdriver?)

Makenzie arrived home early and gave Evan dinner:

Then she took him outside for some walking lessons:

He's still a bit wobbly. They came inside and Evan and Lukas played together:

Then they practiced their shifty-eyed stares:

Makenzie gave Evan a quick potty training lesson:

And then it was off to bed. Being a toddler is exhausting:

The next morning Jeff made waffles in the oven...

He even dumped one in the blender for Evan, which was kinda gross:

After breakfast, Evan got some tickles from Jeff:

Then practiced his walking with Daddy:

Lunch was just a mess:

Then some playtime with SimMe:

Jeff got a nice greeting when he came home:

The next morning, Jeff broke the upstairs sink and had a complete meltdown over it:

He eventually fixed it and I sent him downstairs for breakfast. I was checking on what Evan was up to when the game suddenly took me to the dining room. Jeff was doing this weird sparkle thing:

AND THEN HE JUST DIED!!!

Right in the middle of breakfast! SimMe was horrified:

Makenzie woke up and bolted downstairs:

Death arrived:

And summoned Jeff to him:

Everyone mourned:

Jeff sadly accepted his fate:

Death congratulated him on living a good, full life:

And Jeff crossed over, leaving his gravestone behind:
