Since my simmies enjoyed the hot tub so much and Jeff kept asking me for one, I bought them a trampoline. Jeff was the first one to try it out:
He bounced:
He had fun:
Then things went a bit south...
Ouch...
He's okay! He's okay! Mostly...
I gave Jeff a bit of a makeover.
Before:
After:
Before I knew it, Makenzie had succumbed to the allure of the trampoline:
And then just as quickly succumbed to the allure of something else...
They go at it like rabbits. Every time I leave one or both of them unattended! Which is why, quite often, Makenzie shows up to meals in her sexy nightie:
They had a rather uneventful afternoon. SimMe sculpted. Makenzie practiced her guitar.
Lukas wandered aimlessly between activities.
More sculpting, more practice:
Jeff worked on the sequel to his bestselling novel, The Rise of the Cylon. The new one is called The Rebellion of Man. Except sometimes I caught him slacking off:
Our nightshifters trudged off to work and our seniors retired to bed early. Lukas got a promotion which means more money for him but more boredom for me. Turns out with this promotion, he now exorcises community lots, also known as rabbit holes. Sims go in and out but I can't follow. Which meant this shift looked pretty much like this:
Boring! His next case was at the school, at which point I gave up and went back to the house. The school:
The next day, Makenzie and SimMe both took the day off work for a little mother/daughter outing to...the junkyard!
We dug around for scrap metal for ages:
Eventually they got tired and smelly and completely disgusted with the junkyard so I sent them back home. While they were gone, Lukas went to work on his own for the very first time! He did very well. He scored another promotion as well as TWO awards from the mayor for his hard work! After his shift ended, he went to pick them up at City Hall:
Still wearing his icky uniform...
I put his trophy in the upstairs hallway by the stereo:
And his medal on the bedroom wall:
After a bubble bath and a good night's rest, Makenzie decided to paint the next day:
SimMe, on the other hand, decided to finish her giant...ice...trophy...thing...
Yeah...once that was done and sold, she moved on to the reason for the junkyard trip. We're sculpting metal!
With a blowtorch!
Whoa...wait a minute...blowtorch?
Don't Sims totally suck when it comes to fire safety?
Remember the exploding birthday cake inferno?!
Well, I guess this seems to be going rather well...
SimMe hasn't caught fire yet, which is always a plus...
A chair? Really? All that work for a CHAIR?!
But it seems the chair was just what SimMe needed to finally reach level 10 of the sculpting ability. The highest level! Which means now SimMe can sculpt...topiaries?!
I see we're back to the chainsaw again.
I suppose it's safer than the blowtorch.
I like how leaves scatter everywhere while SimMe works and yet there's no piles of them on the ground for me to clean up.
And by "me clean up" I mean "direct Jeff to clean up".
Jeff is a neat sim after all. He likes cleaning, the weirdo.
Oh look! A giraffe. How exciting.
Mackenzie returned to finish her painting:
I liked it so much, I hung it above the TV in the living room:
Then she got right to work on her next masterpiece:
But didn't get very far before Lukas found her. Rabbits. I swear!
But Makenzie went into hygiene desperation. Nothing like a smelly wife to spoil the mood. Makenzie went to take a shower while Lukas finally succumbed to the allure of the trampoline:
Of all my sims, Lukas is the only one who didn't just bounce up and down. He got all fancy with flips and stuff:
He was having so much fun that Makenzie just had to come out and join him:
And they bounced together until Lukas had to pee.
Notice, dear Jeff, how when Lukas has to pee, he excuses himself from the activities and heads to the bathroom!
My favorite part of this whole episode of Days of Our Sims was watching Lukas and Makenzie on the trampoline. Have I mentioned how much I love the two of them?
