I started off by making Makenzie's nightie a little less sexy, since she has three children in the house and all (This one goes down to her knees):
I redid Evan's room to make it more teenager-y:
Then I did boring routine stuff. Everyone got up, showered (Sarah took an "extreme bath"), dressed and ate brunch (they all slept through breakfast). Makenzie worked on learning the piano. Lukas fixed the shower after Avery broke it. Evan cleaned the house. Once the chores were done, everyone pretty much did whatever they wanted. Evan read. Lukas worked on his guitar skills, Makenzie went to work to perform at a benefit concert. Sarah and Avery played and ate dinner:
And that was it. A perfectly lazy Saturday.

Days of Our Sims Part 17
I redid the twins' room; they got a bunk bed not so much because I wanted another one but because it was the only way to get two beds in there.
I set about de-toddlerfying the house but had to stop because I needed someone (Lukas) to put all the toys back in the toy box before I could delete it. While he was doing this, the Birthday Sparkles came for Evan...
In case you're wondering, Avery chose to stand at the opposite side of the table and there was no way I could get her in frame with Evan. The girls were in the process of cleaning up the dirty dishes and abandoned them on the living room floor when the Birthday Sparkles announced their visit.
The creepy stretchy spine thing as Evan's body stretched into the Teen morph while still wearing the Child skin:
And there we have it: Indiana Evan!
Indiana Evan post-makeover (I love Lukas and Sarah's faces!):
He looks so upset, doesn't he? Maybe he misses the shaggy hair just as much as I do. It wasn't available for teens and my only options for longer hair for him was his dad's haircut, a Beatles-esque look, a mullet, Justin Bieber hair and a series of flamboyant anime styles. So I gave him a short but messy cut.
After the Birthday Sparkles left, I got everyone back to work. Sarah and Avery finished the dishes and Lukas put all the toys away, which means the house has officially been de-toddlerifyed! Evan, being the birthday boy, got to have one of his wishes fulfilled instead of doing chores. He aged up with the handiness trait, so he wanted to read a book on the subject. The first book in the Handiness series is called Unplug It First.
And, as you can see, not only has the bookcase been moved back into the dining room but Avery has changed into her creepy costume again. I still can't figure out what's up with that.
The girls wanted to play a game together, so I sent them out to play chess:
Daredevil Sarah got bored fairly quickly and the trampoline called to her:
It called to Makenzie too, who had just gotten home from work:
While Sarah was answering another call (of nature), Makenzie jumped alone. Unlike last time, she actually did some flips and tricks:
Sarah promptly returned and the two of them jumped together while Avery practiced her chess:
After all the bouncing and chess practicing, everyone came in for a late dinner:
And I conclude today's story with everyone going to bed.
Sarah claimed top bunk. Because Sarah is a daredevil, she doesn't just do something, she does them extremely. When I sent Avery to bed, I clicked on the bed and my options were "Sleep" and "Nap" and some others. For Sarah, I had "Extreme Sleep" and "Extreme Nap". In fact, the only things she doesn't do extremely are go to the bathroom and eat. Even her shower was an Extreme Shower.
Goodnight Sarah. Goodnight Avery.
Goodnight Evan. (I'll update your room next time!)
Goodnight Lukas. Goodnight Makenzie.
Goodnight everyone!

Days of Our Sims Part 16
Well, since we got all sorts of new stuff with Generations, I decided to use some of it. I bought the kids a treehouse:
And a sandbox:
And a Slip'n'Slide!
Evan was immediately drawn to the Slip'n'Slide:
I also discovered that Lukas and Makenzie can now woohoo in the shower. Although it's...not what one would expect...from a visual standpoint...
Evan then moved on to the sandbox where he built himself a nice castle...and promptly destroyed it.
I also discovered that we got a ton of new musical instruments with Generations so I turned SimMe's abandoned bedroom into a music room:
Evan went off to school the next day and came home with a horrible surprise: his cousin Yadira:
As I suspected, she was a horrid child:
All she talked about was this ball thingie:
And she was viciously mean to poor Evan:
So I had Makenzie send her home:
That, my dear Evan, is why we don't invite family over. The next day was the twins' birthday! They spent the morning playing:
And then it was party time! Avery went first:
Time for the birthday sparkles!
And I have no picture of the actual aging up due to Evan photobombing his sister:
Nice, Evan. And thinking about toilets too.
Avery mostly post-birthday sparkles:
She did this weird cross-eyed thing:
Before being promptly distracted by the cake:
Then it was Sarah's turn!
At some point during Sarah's birthday, Avery changed into this weird costume type thing with a paper chain around her neck and a paper crown on her head. It was rather odd and random seeing as she hadn't visited the costume trunk but whatever.
Birthday sparkles time!
Sarah also did the cross-eyed thing:
The twins pre-makeover:
The twins post-makeover:
Then it was cake time!
Everyone had a lively discussion about books:
I made Avery more of a girly girl because she aged up with the perceptive trait:
Sarah is a tomboy because she aged up with the daredevil trait:
The best shot I could get of the twins together:
Everyone celebrated the twins' birthday on the Slip'n'Slide (Avery is in the floral swimsuit, Sarah is in the solid purple):
As the day ended, I tried to get some pictures of the siblings together:
I love this picture. I'm not quite sure if it's because of Evan's goofy grin or because Avery and Sarah look like they're about to kill him:
Right after those pictures, Evan went inside and Avery changed back into her strange costume:
Complete with cape:
So weird.
And this is where I stopped the game because redecorating and makeovers are exhausting and I didn't wanna have to redo the twins' bedroom today.
